Cuba has been going through dictatorship torture for over 60 years. In July a lot of Cubans took to innocent protest against the injustice of treatment of humans. There’s always a shortage of food “Protests erupted across Cuba on July 11 and 12 2021 as thousands took to the streets in protest against food shortages rising prices, and economic hardships. Some also called for a change in government.”
The officers in Cuba acted like they weren’t on duty but ended up detaining over 600 protesters but didn’t release information by the Cuban authorities, it was by 11J a group of that keeps up with the injustice and all the arrestees. Biden also sanctioned eight officials for acting with the unjust, so they were not let back into the United States.
According to the Miami herald “The Cuban government can arrest and detain Cubans without an arrest warrant or equivalent order. Cubans can be detained without knowing the charges against them, without access to legal counsel, and without any judicial intervention to safeguard their rights. The Cuban judicial system also does not allow a trial by jury, a crucial safeguard for the liberty and due process of the criminally accused. Criminal trials are adjudicated by a panel of judges comprised of professional judges appointed by the corrupt CNA and so-called lay judges who are strident adherents of the Cuban government. For a conviction, no unanimity of this biased panel is required — only guilty votes from two of the professional judges and one lay judge”
The legal system is why the people have been suffering for years. And then then criminal age is 16 and then the inmate is dying while officers just walk around. The heart to even let that keep going on is bad. Biden claims the embassy in Cuba were part of silencing the voices of Cuba. Cuba has been the only justice system that has treated humans as if they were animals. Children all came to the street for better lives thinking they could make a change but then the judicial system doesn’t have due diligence. Cuba government blames social media for the outburst in the street. They have silenced the country by not giving them rights to even speak their voice. The kids are under 18 and are getting false charges and getting stabbed in prison.
America has been trying to help the American embassy in Cuba, but does not agree with the violent and silencing inhumane treatments towards the residents of Cuba. The dictatorship has to end in Cuba and become democracy where humans voices are not silenced by others in the position of power.
